Before you publish AI-written product descriptions, check these

A first draft from AI takes seconds. These are the checks that take a few minutes and keep it from costing you later:

- Every fact. Materials, dimensions, compatibility, care instructions. Where the input has a gap, a model fills it with something plausible, and a wrong size comes back as a return.
- Claims you may not make. Health, safety and environmental claims are regulated in most markets, and "eco-friendly" with nothing behind it is exactly what regulators look for.
- Sameness. Ask for a description of a product a hundred other shops sell and you get roughly what they got. Feed it your own notes: who buys it, what they ask before buying, what returns and reviews say.
- Your voice. Paste two descriptions you wrote yourself and ask it to match them.
- How it reads on a phone. Long, even paragraphs look fine in an editor and like a wall on a small screen.

What would you add to the list?

  1. I would add the page title and meta description. They are what shows in search results, and they tend to come out generic.
    1. Good one. And keep the product name the way customers search for it, not the way the model likes to phrase it.
